Commencing 9.00 a.m.

M&M Picton Novice Ridden Championship Qualifier
Stallions mares and geldings four years old and over registered in the main body of their respective Breed Society stud book.
Class 1* Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh A
Class 2* Welsh B, Welsh C
Class
3* New Forest, Connemara
Class 4* Fell, Highland, Dales
Class
5* Welsh D
Riders any age, except stallions.  The highest placed pony, owned by an NPS member in each class goes forward to the final. Where this pony has already qualified the pony standing next in line, which is owned by an NPS member and has not already qualified receives the qualification. Qualification may go no lower than third place. Ponies must be shown in a snaffle bit.  The owner does not have to be an NPS member for the pony to enter this competition but only ponies owned by NPS members can qualify for the final.
A pony is not eligible to compete if, before 1st January in the current year, it has:
(a) Won an open NPS affiliated M&M Ridden class
(b) Won a ridden class at an Olympia, HOYS or RIHS qualifying round
(c) Qualified for HOYS or RIHS Ridden classes
(d) Qualified for the M&M Novice or Intermediate Ridden final at the NPS Summer Championship Show
(e) Qualified for the M&M Ridden Championship final at Olympia in previous years or in the current year.

Class 6*  The NPS/Vale UK Ltd M&M Novice Leading Rein National Championship.
Mares and gelding four years old and over not exceeding 122 cms, registered in the main body of the following Breed Society stud books:
 Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest, Welsh A and B
The pony never to have won a first prize of £10 or more in Leading Rein classes or qualified for the NPS M&M Leading Rein final before 1st January in the current year.
Rider under 9 years (see rules in section A 3.2). The owner does not have to be an NPS member for the pony to enter this competition but only ponies owned by NPS members can qualify for the final. The highest placed pony, owned by an NPS member, in each class goes forward to the final. Where this pony has already qualified the pony standing next in line, which is owned by an NPS member and has not already qualified, receives the qualification. Qualification may go no lower than third place. Ponies will not be stripped. Ponies must be shown in a snaffle bit. Ponies may not be ridden side saddle.
Classes marked* are Royal London and SWPA Qualifiers

Class 7*   NPS Simpson Refractories Novice First Ridden Qualifier.
Mares and geldings four years old and over not exceeding 128 cms. Registered in the main body of the following Breed Society stud books: Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest, Welsh A  and Welsh Bs. Riders under 12 years. 
The highest placed pony, owned by an NPS member goes forward to the final. Where this pony has already qualified the pony standing next in line which is owned by an NPS member and has not already qualified receives the qualification. Qualification may go no lower than third place. Ponies must not be cantered except in their individual show. Ponies must not be ridden side saddle.  The owner does not have to be an NPS member for the pony to enter this competition but only ponies owned by NPS members can qualify for the final.

M&M RHR Demolition Ltd Junior Ridden Championship Qualifier

Mares and geldings four years old and over registered in the main body of their respective Breed Society stud books
Class 8* Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh  A, Welsh B.
Class 9* Not exceeding 138 cms: Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Connemara, Welsh C
Class 10* Exceeding 138 cms but not exceeding 148 cms. Dales (may exceed 148cms), Fell, Highland, New Forest Connemara, Welsh D, (may exceed 148 cms)
Riders class 8 Under 14 years,  class 9 and 10 Under 18 years.
The highest placed pony owned by an NPS member in each class goes forward to the final. Where this pony has already qualified the pony standing next in line which is owned by an NPS member and has not already qualified receives the qualification. Qualification may go no lower than third place.  The owner does not have to be an NPS member for the pony to enter this competition but only ponies owned by NPS members can qualify for the final.

The NPS/Peasedown Stud
M&M Intermediate Ridden National Championship.

Stallions, mares and geldings five years old and over, registered in the main body of their respective Breed Society stud book.  
A pony is not eligible to compete if it has qualified before 1st January in the current year for:
 i) The M&M Ridden Championship final at HOYS or
 ii) The M&M Supreme Ridden Championship final at Olympia.

Class 12* Welsh B & C
Class 13* New Forest & Connemara
Class 14* Highland, Fell, & Dales

M&M Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship
This Championship is for stallions, mares and geldings, registered in the main body of their respective Breed Society stud book, which have won their NPS affiliated M&M Ridden class at the qualifying show (with the exception of Working Hunter Pony, First Ridden and Leading Rein classes).
Rider any age, except stallions (see rules in section A 3.2)
The owner does not have to be an NPS member for the pony to enter the championship but only ponies owned by NPS members can receive the Silver Medal Rosette and qualify for the final at which a Gold Medal is presented. (see section A 1.3 a)) The Silver Medal Rosette goes to the Champion, if owned by an NPS member. If the Champion is not owned by an NPS member the Silver Medal Rosette goes to the Reserve if it is owned by an NPS member. Silver Medal Rosette to go no lower than first Reserve. The qualification card goes to the Champion if owned by an NPS member and not already qualified for the M&M Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship final. If the Champion is not owned by an NPS Members or has already qualified then the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion, if owned by an NPS member, unless he has already qualified. Qualification to go no lower than first Reserve. . At Breed Shows owners do not have to be NPS members to receive the Silver Medal or qualify for the final. Qualifiers go forward to the M&M Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship final at the NPS Summer Championship show.

All 1st & 2nd placed ponies 3 years old and under to compete
Standard Championship
Junior Champion & Reserve, plus all 1st and 2nd placed ponies four years old or over in classes 16-23 inclusive may compete for this championship.

Junior Championship
All 1st & 2nd placed ponies 3 years old and under to compete
Standard Championship
Junior Champion & Reserve, plus all 1st and 2nd placed ponies four years old or over in classes 24-31 inclusive may compete for this championship.

The Champions and Reserve Champions from Rings 2 and 3
together with the 1st and 2nd placed ponies from class 32
will compete for the Supreme In Hand Championship.

Rings Two and Three combined
Shetland Performance classes
Not before 2 pm

Class 33* Leading Rein. Registered mares or geldings 4 years old and over. Riders 9 years and under. Snaffle bridles only. Leading rein must be attached to the noseband on which it must remain whilst in the ring.

Class 34* First Ridden. Registered mares or geldings 4 years old and over. Riders not to have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Any suitable bridle.

Class 35* Young handlers. 4-16 years old. Mares or geldings. No colts or stallions. If sufficient entries, class may be split.

Ring Four
I.M.H.P.S. Miniature Horses
Commencing 10.00 am
Judge: Mrs. L. Ellis-Jones

The following classes are affiliated to the International Miniature Horse and Pony Society Ltd. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed horses in each class will qualify for the Miniature Horse of the Year Show to be held at Arena UK, Grantham, Lincs, provided that the horse is registered with, and the owner is a member of IMHPS before competing. You DO NOT need to be an IMHPS member to compete in these classes.
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed horses in each class will also qualify for the Miniature Horse of Britain Championship classes at the Royal London Show to be held at the Onley Grounds Equestrian Complex on 3rd-5th September 2010.

IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR MHOYS ALL MINIATURE HORSES IN THIS SECTION MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE I.M.H.P.S. AND OWNED BY A CURRENT MEMBER.
All classes are open to horses up to 42” unless otherwise stated.

Miniature Horse Championship
1st and 2nd placed horses in classes 36-45 may compete for this championship.

 

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1  The organisers will not be held responsible for any theft, accident, loss or damage to any exhibit, person or property however caused. It is a condition of entry that every exhibitor/spectator shall indemnify the organisers against any legal proceedings arising from any accident or injury, incident or misdemeanor however caused.
2  The organisers reserve the right to cancel, amalgamate, or divide classes according to entries, and to replace a judge if necessary.
3  The Judge’s decision is final.
4  Handlers of Stallions and Colts must have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
5  Riders of stallions must have attained their 11th birthday before 1st January in the current year when riding small breeds (Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Welsh A & B) and for large breeds (Highland, Fell, Dales, Connemara, New Forest, Welsh C & D) riders must have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January.
6  Handlers of ponies in In Hand classes aged 14 years and under must wear correctly secured British Standard skull caps/riding hats.
7  Whips or canes must not exceed 30”
8  Any animal found to be suffering from any infectious or contagious disease must be removed from the Showground.
9 Exhibitors and their grooms must be appropriately dressed at all times while in  the ring.
10 All dogs must be on a lead at all times.
11 Please take your litter home with you.
