RING ONE – INDOOR ARENA
RIDDEN CLASSES
8.30 am start

Judges: 1-2 TBA; 3-5 Mr. R. Mason Williams; 6-10 TBA; 11-13 TBA

Class 1 Lead Rein
 Mare or gelding not exceeding 122 cm, rider not to have attained their 9th birthday before January 1st in the current year. Open to both PLAITED and M & M types – all ponies will enter the ring together, but each type will be placed separately and there will be two sets of rosettes. Rosettes to all.
Class 2 First Ridden
 Mare or gelding not exceeding 128 cm, rider not to have attained their 12th birthday before January 1st in the current year. Open to both PLAITED and M & M types – all ponies will enter the ring together, but each type will be placed separately and there will be two sets of rosettes. Rosettes to all.

Not before 10.00 am
Class 3 Hack/Riding Horse
 Mare or gelding, exceeding 148 cm. Hacks not to exceed 160 cm. Rider 15 years or over.
Special Rosette to the highest placed Intermediate i.e. horse not to exceed 158 cm and rider not to have attained their 25th birthday before January 1st in the current year – white armband please.
Special Rosette to the highest placed ex-racehorse – red armband please.
Class 4 Hunter/Cob
  Mare or gelding, exceeding 148 cm; maxi-cobs included.
All competitors will enter the ring together, but each type will be placed separately and there will be two sets of rosettes. Special Rosette to the highest placed Intermediate SHT i.e. horse not to exceed 158 cm and rider not to have attained their 25th birthday before January 1st in the current year – white armband please.
Class 5 Arab/Anglo/Part-Bred
 Stallion, mare or gelding 4 years old or over, any height. The judge will not ride.

Not before 12.00 midday
Class 6 Non-Show Type Horse or Pony
 Rider any age, horse/pony to be a suitable size for the rider. Manners, suitability and way of going will take precedence over conformation.
Class 7 Show/Show Hunter Pony
 Mixed Height – rider to be the correct age for the size of pony they ride
Class 8 Veteran
  Stallion, mare or gelding, 15 years or over, rider any age.
Class 9 Rare or Foreign Breed
  Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years or over, rider any age.
Class 10 Coloured
   Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years or over, rider any age; to include piebald, skewbald, palomino, dun, roan, spotted etc.

Not before 3.00 pm
Class 11 Mountain & Moorland Novice Ridden

  Large & small breeds; not to have won a first prize in a ridden class this season.
Class 12 Mountain & Moorland Small Breeds Open Ridden
   Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years or over, rider any age. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh A and Welsh B, to be reistered with their respective Breed Society.
Class 13 Mountain & Moorland Large Breeds Open Ridden
   Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years or over, rider any age. Highland, Fell, Dales, New Forest, Connemara, Welsh C and Welsh D, to be registered with their respective Breed Society.

Normal Evening Dress.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1  The organisers will not be held responsible for any theft, accident, loss or damage to any exhibit, person or property however caused. It is a condition of entry that every exhibitor/spectator shall indemnify the organisers against any legal proceedings arising from any accident or injury, incident or misdemeanor however caused.
2  The organisers reserve the right to cancel, amalgamate, or divide classes according to entries, and to replace a judge if necessary.
3 `   The Judge’s decision is final.
4  Handlers of Stallions and Colts must have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
5  Riders of stallions must have attained their 11th birthday before 1st January in the current year when riding small breeds (Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Welsh A & B) and for large breeds (Highland, Fell, Dales, Connemara, New Forest, Welsh C & D) riders must have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January.
6  Handlers of ponies in In Hand classes aged 14 years and under must wear correctly secured British Standard skull caps/riding hats.
7  Whips or canes must not exceed 30”
8  Any animal found to be suffering from any infectious or contagious disease must be removed from the Showground.
9 Exhibitors and their grooms must be appropriately dressed at all times while in  the ring.
10 All dogs must be on a lead at all times.
11 Please take your litter home with you.
